Carbon black is a reinforcing filler and pigment manufactured via the Oil Furnace Process, used across tire and rubber manufacturing, plastics, inks, coatings, and cable compounds.

Applications

Reinforcing Filler for Rubber Products

Tires: inner liners, carcasses, sidewalls, and treads. Molded and extruded industrial rubber products: belts, hoses, gaskets, diaphragms, vibration isolation devices, bushings, air springs, chassis bumpers, multiple types of pads, boots, wiper blades, fascia, conveyor wheels, and grommets.

UV Protection

Shields from UV rays and prevents plastic aging. Used for conductive packaging, moldings, pipes, and semi-conductive cable compounds.

Pigment for Printing Inks and Paints

Color matching of plastic products and pigmentation for a number of coating applications including automotive (primer basecoats and clearcoats), marine, aerospace, decorative, wood, and industrial coatings.

Electrical Conductivity

Makes insulating polymers such as plastics conductive. Applications include electronic packaging, security applications, and automotive parts.

Soft Grades

Grade N-772

Features: Semi-reinforcing grade, provides high elasticity in compounds, easy processability and good dispersibility, balanced mechanical properties. Applications: Extruded parts, belts and hoses, molded rubber components.

Grade N-660

Features: Lower surface area compared to N-550, medium-low structure, high modulus with suitable reinforcement, good elasticity at higher hardness levels. Applications: Tire carcass layers, tire sidewalls, mechanical rubber products.

Grade N-550

Features: Carcass grade with low surface area, excellent dimensional stability in rubber compounds, easy processability and good extrusion performance, balanced dynamic properties. Applications: Profiles and extruded parts, rubber hoses and belts, brake diaphragms, black masterbatch, pipes and plastic products.

Grade N-774

Features: Semi-reinforcing grade with a balanced structure, easy mixing and good processability, high loading capacity, suitable for smooth extrusion. Applications: Extruded parts, rubber belts and hoses, molded components, footwear and similar products.

Grade SHP50

Features: Reinforcing grade with a medium structure, provides rubber compounds with high tensile strength, suitable tear resistance, and good processability. Compared to N-550, offers higher blackness strength and a relative improvement in mechanical and abrasion properties. Applications: Compounds with high mechanical performance and long durability; also widely used in the plastic industry for manufacturing pipes and profiles.

Hard Grades

Grade N-330

Features: Good abrasion resistance, easy processability, high tensile strength, desirable tear resistance. Applications: Passenger car and truck tires, mechanical rubber components, polymer compounds.

Grade N-339

Features: High structure and high modulus, excellent abrasion resistance and durability, improved extrusion properties, enhanced hysteresis behavior. Applications: Passenger car tire treads, tire tread layers, conveyor belts, mechanical rubber components.

Grade N-326

Features: Low structure, low modulus with high elongation at break, excellent tensile strength, enhanced mechanical properties and compound flexibility. Applications: Mechanical rubber components, tire carcass layers, off-road tire treads, belts and hoses.

Grade N-234

Features: High structure and high modulus, excellent abrasion resistance and durability, improved extrusion and processability, suitable for various elastomers. Applications: Radial tire treads, conveyor belt compounds, other reinforced rubber products.

Grade N-220

Features: Very high abrasion resistance, excellent tensile strength and tear resistance, resistance to chipping, high electrical conductivity, relatively low modulus with high hardness, tendency to heat build-up in dynamic applications. Applications: Truck and passenger car tire treads, conveyor belts and industrial belts, mechanical rubber components, polymer and plastic compounds requiring high mechanical performance.

Grade N-229

Features: Very high abrasion resistance, excellent reinforcing performance, good dispersibility and processability, increases tensile strength and tear resistance of compounds. Applications: Truck and radial tires, industrial rubber hoses, sealing products, rubber rollers, conveyor belts and straps, wire and cable, shoe soles, ink/coating/dyeing/printing industries.

Grade N-375

Features: Lower structure compared to N-339, excellent processability and high extrusion capability, allows high oil loading with low swelling, improved hysteresis properties, durability, and tensile strength. Applications: Tire treads, conveyor belts, rubber mechanical parts.

Grade N-121
